Anti-Slip Mats

Anti-slip mats for load securing, sold per pallet at direct B2B prices. Rubber granulate mats raise the friction coefficient from around 0.2–0.3 up to 0.6 µ and higher — which under EN 12195-1 can cut the number of lashing straps needed per load by up to 40%. Available as cut-to-length rolls (125 mm to 1250 mm wide), ready-to-place pads and anti-slip film, in 3 mm and 8 mm profiles. Certified to EN 12195 and VDI 2700. Every listing shows the price per mat or per roll. EU stock, same-day dispatch on stock items.

How anti-slip material works

Load securing rests on two principles: form-locking (blocking the cargo) and force-locking (tying it down). Anti-slip material improves the third factor both depend on — friction. Bare timber on a steel truck bed gives roughly 0.2 to 0.3 µ. Rubber granulate mats raise that to 0.6 µ and above.

Under EN 12195-1 the required lashing force is calculated directly from that coefficient. Doubling the friction roughly halves the restraint you need, which is why a load that took ten straps can often be secured with six. On heavy loads, anti-slip mats frequently do more for stability than adding further tie-downs.

Choosing thickness and format

  • 3 mm — light to medium loads, palletised goods, layer separation. Thin enough to stack without adding height.
  • 8 mm — heavy and concentrated loads: steel, machinery, concrete elements, coils. Compresses around surface irregularities and grips uneven floors.
  • Rolls (125 to 1250 mm wide) — cut to the exact length you need. The 1250 mm roll covers a full pallet width in one piece, preferred by boat, machine and project-cargo hauliers.
  • Pads and tiles — pre-cut, fastest to place under pallet corners and bearer points in repetitive loading work.

The grey non-marking range for concrete

Standard black granulate can leave marks on porous surfaces such as fresh concrete. Our grey non-marking mats and tiles deliver the same friction performance without discolouring the elements they sit against — the standard choice for precast manufacturers and block plants.

Correct use in practice

  • The mat must be the only contact between cargo and load bed — any direct contact defeats the effect.
  • Let the material extend roughly 1 cm beyond the load footprint so it can absorb tilting movement.
  • Keep mats clean and dry. Dirt, grease, oil and water all reduce grip; a contaminated mat loses a substantial part of its friction value.
  • Do not drive or walk over the material — abrasion wears the granulate surface.
  • Mats are reusable across many trips; check for wear, flattening and contamination and replace when the surface no longer grips.

Why buying per pallet is cheaper per trip

Anti-slip mats are consumables. Bought per piece or per box, the unit cost stays high and reordering eats administrative time. Bought by the pallet, the cost per mat drops sharply — and because we show the unit price alongside the pallet price, you can calculate your real cost per load before you order rather than after.

Frequently asked

Do anti-slip mats replace lashing straps? They reduce how many you need, and on some heavy loads they can be sufficient alone — but that depends on cargo, vehicle and route. The EN 12195-1 calculation decides it; we are happy to run it with you.

How many mats does a load need? As a rule, place material under every bearing point rather than covering the whole bed. Tell us your load type and we advise on quantity and format.

What is the difference between 3 mm and 8 mm? Thickness determines how much surface irregularity the mat absorbs and how much load it takes before compressing fully. Heavy concentrated loads need 8 mm; lighter palletised goods are fine on 3 mm.
