Sold per pallet of 2000 mats, this variant shares the same 300 x 200 mm footprint as the 3 mm version but delivers an 8 mm thickness that provides greater compression resistance under point loads, high surface pressures, and heavy industrial cargo.

The increased thickness makes this mat well suited to loads such as steel coils, machinery, equipment crates, and other dense palletised goods where a thin mat would compress excessively and provide inconsistent friction. Under EN 12195, consistent and predictable friction values are essential for accurate lashing force calculations — and the 8 mm profile maintains reliable contact across minor surface irregularities on rough or uneven cargo surfaces such as raw timber, metal decking, and cast components. A higher friction coefficient means fewer lashing straps are needed to achieve a compliant load securing arrangement.
