Sorbpack's Cargosorb Container Desiccant Classic 1200g is a high-capacity calcium chloride moisture absorber built for long sea-freight routes and high-humidity trade lanes. At double the active weight of the 600g bag, it pulls a large volume of airborne moisture out of the container and traps it as a stable gel — stopping condensation before it forms "container rain" and drips onto your cargo.

The longer a container spends at sea, the more times humidity condenses and re-evaporates with each day-night temperature swing — and the greater the risk of cargo sweat, mould, rust, caking and wet-damage claims. The Classic 1200g bag delivers extended, high-volume absorption for full 40 ft loads and multi-week voyages, holding the moisture it captures as a non-drainable gel with no risk of leakage onto your goods.

How to use

Hang the desiccant from the container's lashing rings, rods or crossbars along the side walls, spacing the units evenly through the load — no tools or adhesive required. As a general guide, use 16 of the 1200g bag per 40ft container and 8 per 20ft container, increasing the quantity on longer routes or for highly moisture-sensitive cargo. Keep unused bags sealed in their original packaging until needed.
