Shrink wrap for modular buildings and prefabricated units
Wrapping modules before dispatch helps protect exposed surfaces and finishes during transport and temporary storage. Heat-shrink film forms a close-fitting cover around prefabricated building units, steel-framed modules and other large structures. Choose the film around the dimensions of the module, its shape, the transport route and the expected exposure.
For wide loads, start by comparing our 12 m x 50 m, 200 micron shrink wrap film with the narrower rolls in this range. A 12 m x 50 m roll contains 600 m² of film before allowing for overlaps, trimming and shrinkage. Send us the length, width and height of your modules, together with the number of units, for a project quotation.
Boat and machinery shrink wrap
Marine shrink wrap can be used to cover boats and yachts during winter storage or transport. Industrial wrapping can help protect machinery and equipment during relocation, outdoor storage and shipment. UV-stabilised film is relevant for outdoor exposure, but the required thickness and service life depend on the product specification and conditions of use.
Plan for sharp-edge protection, secure attachment and suitable ventilation where condensation could affect the covered equipment. Shrink wrap provides a protective cover; it does not replace the restraints needed to secure a transport load.
Scaffold shrink wrap and flame-retardant film
Scaffold shrink wrap is used for temporary enclosures around construction and refurbishment work. Select the film to suit the scaffold design, exposure and project requirements. Our range includes 250 micron flame-retardant film in 10 m x 50 m and 300 micron scaffold film in 7 m x 15 m and 12 m x 25 m.
Standard UV-stabilised film and flame-retardant film are different specifications. Where a project requires a particular fire classification, ask us for the documentation for the exact product before ordering.
Choosing the roll size, tape and heat gun
- Thickness: compare the 180 and 200 micron standard film with the 250 and 300 micron flame-retardant products. Thickness alone does not determine suitability; consider exposure, handling and any project specification.
- Width and length: choose a roll that suits the object or enclosure, allowing material for fixing, overlaps and waste. Wider film can reduce the number of joins on large modules and equipment.
- Tape: our 100 mm x 33 m shrink wrap tape is available for seam and repair work. Select compatible materials and follow the film supplier's joining instructions.
- Equipment: see the Ripack 3000 propane shrink wrap heat gun and check the equipment requirements for your application. Installation should follow the film and tool manufacturers' instructions.

Can I order less than a pallet?
Our standard online film listings are priced per pallet. Other quantities, including smaller orders, are possible on request through a custom offer. Let us know how many rolls you need.

Send your application, preferred film size and thickness, required quantity, delivery postcode and target delivery date. For modules, boats or machinery, include the object's dimensions. For scaffolding, include the enclosure dimensions and any required fire classification.
